These guys are awsome, I started to go in a couple years ago to get parts for my 91 dr 650, there guys are very hel p full and knowledgeable. when the dr needed valve adjustment they did it fast, pointed out some things, great experience. I sold the dr and purchased a 2014.5 klr 650, Steve worked the extra mile to get me financed and into my first new bike been smiling for the last two weeks, thanks Steve. They have been there to answer many questions and alway make me feel welcome. I will be a customer for life and have no problem recommending them for service or for possibly new purchases. Go in and see for yourself. .Thanks again to the staff at Riverfront for all your help and support..

I bought a brand new Suzuki GSX-​R from this business a few months back. Since I ordered it through the Internet and they referred me to the «closest dealer», I didn’t have an opportunity to check out the shop prior to buying.
Initially, I thought it was pretty good, until they rolled the bike out to give me my «out briefing». Take the word «brief» out of the statement. It was a two minute dissertation on carrying insurance, wearing a helmet, etc. Nothing about the bike itself, no safety tips, no «five point» check, nothing. «Sign this paper acknowledging you understand». I did, and off I went. Thank God this was not the first bike I had owned or I would have been at a loss. (Side note, shortly after this, my friend bought the same bike in Sacramento at Good Times. I was there when he rolled out. They gave him a half hour run down on the bike, the controls, checked fluid with him, gave him tips, etc. That is how it should be done)
On 15 July, I hit some gravel and had to lay my bike down. Of course I took it back to Riverfront because I bought it there, and it is local to me. Initially I decided I wasn’t going to use my insurance, so we eyeballed the bike to decide what parts to put on it. Once the adjuster got involved, he wanted a complete tear down estimate. It was supposed to be done in three days, ended up being completed in 9.
Long story short (I could explain all the details… But reserve that for my blog on My Space) I had back ordered parts they didn’t inform me of on two occasions, they never called me back when I called to check on stuff, etc. At any rate, my bike was supposed to be ready for pick up last Friday. When I called that afternoon to find out what time they wanted me to come in, in a very non-​chalant way they advised me that they «forgot» to order three parts. I was highly upset. I went down to the shop.
Once I got there and realized that they could simply put the existing parts that are barely scratched off my bike, and order the new ones, I advised them to do so. They would not do it as they needed to contact my insurance adjuster for authorization. I understood that, and got on the phone. Of course, my adjuster was off that day and would not be returning until Tuesday! Why am I upset at this point? Because Riverfront knew on Wed that I needed these parts!
After I came to grips with the fact I wouldn’t be taking my bike, I told them to order the parts, and have the bike done by the following Thursday. I called down to Good Times in Sacramento to find out if any of the remaining parts were on back order. They advised me that the front fuel tank fasteners I need are on back order for another two weeks. (they actually called Suzuki and called me back w/​in 15 minutes! That is customer service)
I decided I would call my adjuster first thing Tuesday morning and ask him if he would authorize the release of my bike with my old front fuel tank cover on it since the fasteners are on back order. He advised me that was fine, and that since the three pieces they needed were all cosmetic, they could have released to me on Friday! Oh well.
Long story short… Don’t use Riverfront for service. They can be nice as far as face to face interaction, but they most certainly don’t act as if they give a damn about your situation, or return phone calls. The shop is very small, so they have multiple jobs going at once, so that tends to make your wait a little longer. The mechanics are very nice, and so is the sales staff, but when you are dealing with the overall business aspect, I was not happy, and have heard similar from others.
Needless to say, the GSX-​R1000 that my husband is buying in a few months will be purchased in Sacramento.

This motorcycle shop isn’t too bad. It’s the only Suzuki shop in town. I don’t like some of the customer service that I recieve here, so I tend to go to Honda Yamaha Sportscenter for basic maintenance needs (i.e. fork oil, engine oil, valves and carbs job, etc.). For all of my fine tuning and major maintenance needs, I go to Rohm Performance Machine. Basically, the only reason that I go to this shop is to purchase genuine Suzuki parts without having to travel all the way to Roseville. I have not had any maintenance done with this shop, so I can not comment on their maintenance practices.
