Wonderful evening at the Strand. Very unique theater. Great for dinner and a movie night. Dinner at Five Brothers across the street. Wonderful food. Great for going out with friends! Very reasonable, friendly staff.

The Strand is one of my favorite places. I visit often with friends to see the movies. The ticket/snack prices are extremely cheap compared to your normal movie theatre. The inside is beautiful and you can tell they take very good care of the place. Always clean and fully stocked. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is a few times I’ve had some pretty rude service. I visited during an event and had some questions and the lady seemed very put off by them and made it obvious that she didn’t really care if I bought a ticket. I also brought a child and she seemed to be annoyed I had a child at a musical event. She was pretty awful and I wasn’t sure if I’d be back to The Strand but most of the other volunteers seem pretty wonderful. This place is definitely a beautiful, unique, and relaxed place to see a new or older movie and it never hurts to save tons of money while you’re doing it.

We visited this holiday season for their Rudolph and friends production. The website description was a little vague but it was really a musical production where live actors sang the songs from some of your favorite Christmas shows, like Rudolph, the grinch, the year without Santa, etc. we had a wonderful afternoon with our friend and his two young boys and they loved it. The stage is exceptionally small so I’m really excited for the expansion so that they will be able to put on some full scale productions. I loved that they had live music, as did the boys, and that the actors encouraged the kids to sing some of the songs with them. There was even a visit from Santa! I will say, if you have small children who are scared easily, you may want to consider seats in the balcony. At one point the grinch did wander through the audience and I know the two boys we were with were terrified that he was going to come near us. They do have a small concession stand where they sell small bags of popcorn(no butter sad) a limited selection of candies, fountain pop, and bottles of water. Bring cash if you are interested as I didn’t see any credit card machines when it came to concessions. The strand also shows movies on the weekends and brings in several performers throughout the year. B.E. Taylor will be there for valentines day! A fantastic addition to the small town of zelienople! I hope everyone continues to support it!!!
