Probably the best pub in Wales. This place oozes history. Keith, the owner, is a great guy. Ask to see the tribute room to the welsh borders regt where he has a real vc on display. If you’re lucky. A roaring fire will be going and you’ll meet gizmo the cat!

Beryl is a fantastic host at the Red Lion. The extensive range of ales and real ciders are well kept and served straight from the barrel. Undoubtedly, one of the truly great pubs in UK. A real gem. We go back time and time again, and never get bored.

No food but real ales straight from the barrel. Always a huge choice and beer to die for. 2 warming fires in the winter and very friendly locals.

After a long walk there’s no place better than The Red Lion with it’s roaring log fires and lovely atmosphere. I always seem to end up playing ‘musical chairs’ as each person tries to warm up both sides evenly, moving when we start to get slightly roasted on one side! I also love the fact that there’s a graveyard right opposite(I’m a big fan of creepy graveyards!)

Quite simply the best real pub in Wales, log fires, the best real ales, and without doubt the friendliest, warmest customers you could ever wish to meet. THE place to chill out and be with the nicest people. A TRUE rugby supporters pub [neath & ospreys] Come and enjoy the warmth of this pub and it’s great mixture of customers, you won’t regret it, but it is simply addictive !
