26 of us descended on this café today, mixture of adults and children, they did a wonderfull job of serving us promptly considering there were only 2 of them. Well done.

The Hazlehead Park café opened its doors to the public again, after a year or so. The radio talked about it, so now that the weather was so lovely(for the first time in a looong time) we took the decision to visit the park, as we also wanted to see the Piper A memorial gardens and sculpture. After our walk, we’ve decided to go and have something to drink in the café. It was a lovely place, and we sat outside. When we entered the café to order, the interior design made us think that this is going to be our permanent coffee spot… but we came back to reality when we had to wait for 35 minutes standing in a queue for 5 sodas. FGS! Only one man standing behind the bar, doing coffees, taking orders, giving orders, do the whole lot. And he was also a bit slow moving around and doing things. People were coming in and out from the kitchen, but defo the place did not have enough people for the amount of customers that were waiting to be served. And it was not even lunch time… Did not also like at all, that the guys in front of us got something for free because of them waiting(as long) as we did — while we did not get anything… it was not about the money, but it was about the gesture… maybe they were British and we were not(?) who can tell? In general yes I will go back and visit the place, but will send someone else to wait on this horrific queue.
