We’d been recommended the café over the road but we walked in and they didn’t seem to be serving actual customers, so we went here instead. It’s pretty slick with amazing lighting(I couldn’t stop looking at it) and had a nice vibe to it. There was a group in front of us trying to decide what they wanted so I had a good amount of time to suss out the options. We were actually heading to Musa nearby for lunch so we just needed drinks — a pot of tea and water for me. But then I saw Bundaberg Ginger Beer and nearly fainted because I was so happy(ok, maybe slight exaggeration), so I ordered two bottles of that. We sat in the window seats while we had our drinks and admired how beautiful Aberdeen is in the sunshine. All up, this was a cosy café with a nice vibe and friendly staff, and I’d definitely return.

This place is amazing! Cool décor and great coffee, the cakes were sublime too. I think the review below was a bit harsh, just unlucky on that coffee. I’ve had loads of coffees from here and each one has been spot on! The Turkish-looking guy behind the counter was hot too!

Aberdeen was DESPERATELY in need of something like this — Small, Independent, somewhat hipster coffee place. With Glasgow and Edinburgh absolutely drowning in them, it was time for the style to spread. With Aberdeen being a mecca for all things Coffee Chain, i was truly excited to try this place. Stylistically, it is extremely appealing — my inner hipster jumped up and down with delight, particularly at the funky lampshades. Huge selection of reasonably priced sandwiches and salads, none of which I tried, but it IS nice to have a Greggs alternative, and they seem popular! But I have a coffee gripe. Namely, that my flat white was very much a cappuccino — it had about 3 inches of foam on top. This was a sad flat white indeed. Which made for a sad Claire. With more practiced milk steaming and more Coffee finesse, this place has great potential. I’ll definitely be back to try it again, because I want to support somewhere like this opening in Aberdeen — injecting some much needed life into the granite!
