They always have a tempting selecton of cakes and fancy pieces in the window. If you’re wanting a sandwich, go before 12 as by 1o’chock, the fridge at the back of the shop is pretty much bare. They will butter your butteries or pancakes for you but I prefer mine plain as they don’t always wear gloves and don’t wash their hands between handling money and spreading. Their stovies are always good and come with an oatcake. They sell tomato sauce sachets to go with but no beetroot I’m afraid. I’m not a big fan of their soup as it always tastes like a cup a soup to me but I know others who enjoy it. Their sausage rolls are good both hot and cold and if they run out of hot food, they’ll pop one in the micro for you which is good of them.
