Revolution Kitchen was one of the trendier dinner options we saw in Aberdeen. It had a much younger crowd of people, with fun and lively music. They also had an awesome selection of beers and ciders to please both me and my wife. We started with an order of Crispy Goat’s Cheese Bonbons, which are creamy goat cheese coated in Panko breadcrumbs, with roquito peppers and balsamic pears. The bonbons were perfectly crispy, and I loved the slight bite of the goat cheese. The tiny balsamic pears had a really nice sweetness to them and a pleasant acidity. The peppers were like spicy gherkin pickles. This was a great way to warm up my palate. For my entrée, I picked their Chipotle Pulled Pork Denver Fries. The skin-on fries were piled high, topped with chipotle pulled pork, and smothered in grilled cheese. These were actual fries, not UK-style chips. The gooey cheese was awesome, and the sweet pulled pork was very tender. I found only a slight kick from the chipotle. Their desserts all sounded great, but we finally settled on the Warm Chocolate Brownie. It was chocolatey, gooey, and deliciously indulgent. It also came served with vanilla bean ice cream, which paired nicely with the warm brownie. This ended up being a really great meal!

Despite the fact that I lost a tooth while sitting having a glass of wine here(nothing to do with the food, I may add!) I still really loved this place! We took my brother out for a meal for his birthday here and the food, service and atmosphere were all astounding. I love, love, LOVE the décor, a mix between Classic Scottish hunting lodge with antler chandeliers and Soviet industrial kitsch with the bar and the fonts used throughout. We shared a Revolution platter which was just so much food! All delicious, thick cut chips and home made vodka salsa(which sounds disgusting but is actually rather lovely!) we also sampled the sweet potato croquettes which were to die for. The main meals were all good portion sizes and my peppercorn burger was cooked to perfection and really tasty. Love this place and when I’m back in Aberdeen I will definitely be visiting again!

I had an early dinner here before seeing Spamalot at the theater; it was quiet in the bar at the time. I had a nice burger and a cold beer at a reasonable price.

A nice sunny afternoon, a bit of a thirst, needing a Cold Beer while sitting outside with good music. Where else but to head direct to Revolution’s Balcony area. Located in the centre of Town it sits in an ideal location if your on a night-out or just been doing some seriously hard shopping. Food is decent & there is a good choice of drinks, especially Vodka. I’ve been here many times at both ends of the spectrum; — from lazy Weekday lunchtimes when the Balcony has a nice relaxed busy buzz & you can just sit around chatting with a Cold beer — to the weekend crazy evenings when the place is absolutely hopping & shorts & shots are order of the day. Make a point of visiting this place.

I’ve often been to Revolution for drinks. Usually after a day at uni my friends and I would go along for dinner or cocktails. The food is nice although on occasions the service has been pretty poor especially when we ordered as a large group. It is a pretty standard menu including burgers, pasta etc. The cocktails are what I enjoy most. They have a menu of cocktails and shooters. I enjoy the chocolate/mud slide I think it’s called. They often have offers on where you can get 2 cocktails for £5 or if you get a Revolution card you get vouchers. The seating is lovely, nice soft chairs and sofa’s.

I certianly wouldn’t go there at night on the weekends, but the food is really, really good. Lots of choice and it is really well presented and pretty well priced as well. The menus themselves are quite sweet with scribbley handwritting and the Christmas Cocktail menus are covered in a red glittery varnish(simple pleasures). There are plenty of vegetarian options. The Revolution Stack is a pretty good one to go for. As are the mezze shared starters. Staff are pretty friendly, although not always as attentive as they could be.

Nice place to sit outside and relax on their patio bit on a summers day and they have patio heaters for when it gets a bit coler. The food is nice, there is a good choice and it comes with a 15 minute guarantee — but you have to mention to the person if you think they have taken longer than that as they wont willingly let on. Bar staff can sometimes take a while to get your drinks and the prices are quite high compared to others on the same street. Nice looking pub though

This place has clearly made an effort with its food menu in recent years and it is certainly one of the bars offering food in the belmont street area. Unfortunately the service is terrible in my experience and you can be waiting a long time before you get served never mind any food.

Revolution is a fantastic place to go at the start of the night but not so great later on as you tend to find it’s full of people more interested in themselves than anything else. It is situated on belmont street, just off of union street(the main aberdeen street). It is situated on two levels and has a large decking area outside — lovely to sit out at any time of night though it will always be busy. It is very expensive to go but it is always clean and the quality of the food and drink is excellent. Definately the place to be seen.

Town centre bar on two levels with large decking area outside. just off union street — very popular with students and local youngsters. good atmosphere. Good food served at reasonable prices. staff all cheery and seem to work hard. more for young people having a good night out that for a quiet drink
