I love me some brunch at the beach, and this is my favourite spot on the promenade in Aberdeen!
Great selection of tea, coffee and cakes for those popping in to refuel, and a really great menu to choose from for those hankering a bigger meal. There’s seats indoors for overcast days and a small seating area outside on the promenade for those lovely sunny afternoons. Win!
Although a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss, this café is extremely popular with the locals which speaks volumes in quality and value, but as its quite small inside it does get very noisy, so if you’re looking for a more peaceful experience id recommend going early or taking advantage of their To Go options

I’ve been to this small beachfront café in Aberdeen several times, and each and every time it has been great!
I had a wonderful lunch of breaded scampi and one of the best hot chocolates i’ve ever had with marshmallows, whipped cream and a chocolate flake. The Sand Dollar has a great vibe, with brilliant views and a great sea theme. The service was quick and friendly and i would highly reccomend this café for a quick bite to eat or a longer meal if you’re near the beach!

I had dinner here on a Saturday night. Lamb Wellington was nicely done and the plate of local cheese to finish was a nice touch. This restaurant is located on the esplanade and looks directly out to the North Sea. If you have a front table, or in nice weather sit outside, you have a truly spectacular view. Quite popular with the local crowd — that’s not a foreign language you are hearing that is the local language — Doric.

We had a great lunch here. The steak sandwich I had was tender and tasty. We didn’t have to wait long for our food on a busy Sunday which was impressive. Couple the food with great and attentive service we will definitely be going back.

Had a very disappointing lunch for two at this establishment. It took some time for the order to be taken and to be served. One dish was overcooked and had to be returned for a replacement. This took some time so we had to eat our meal separately. One member of staff was very attentive and conciliatory. However desk staff and the owner (who was contacted later as she was not in the restauarant over the lunch hour!) were almost hostile.
