Love this place, which is amazing considering I am not a great fan of beer. Nice presentation(beer menu resembles a news paper), huge selection, good atmosphere, table service, super friendly and knowledgable staff. Definitely worth checking out.

I grew up in Aberdeen and regularly return to visit friends and family. My husband, friend and I went to this pub last night prior to an event at The Lemon Tree. I struggle these days to find somewhere to go for a drink in Aberdeen — everything seems to be on Belmont Street. Good Points: Wide selection of beer. Delicious beer; Staff will let you try a beer before you buy it; Also have wine and spirits; Beers served in smaller than pint glasses, so you could try more without getting legless! Location — away from Belmont Street! Near other good pubs such as Blue Lamp and Brewdog and Illicit Still; Ok prices. Not So Good Points The beers are on the board, and not really any information about the beers apart from name and % to allow you to make a choice; Often really busy; Seating areas often mean you have to share a big table with people you don’t know. I don’t mind this, but my husband hates it. Reason why he doesn’t like Wagamama; Lots of hipsters! Bad Points Seats aren’t very comfy; The acoustics are bad, so it gets really noisy — but this could be sorted out. I wish they would! Particular problem if the place is jam packed. I think this would be my go-to pub in Aberdeen from now on, as Belmont Street does my head in now, but I do wish the seats were better and that the acoustics were sorted out. As I hate trying to shout. There is no music, so I don’t know if that is good or bad. For me it is good, as I don’t like listening to music that I don’t like!

Infinite Degrees Awesome Ok, so this place is all about the beer, no surprises there, and they have a really good mix of their own stuff and local and not so local craft and real ales — beer lover’s heaven. Service is good, not great, and the décor is a bit too minimalist for me. The biggest niggle I have is that the bar is not made for standing at and they have the world’s dumbest beer tap set up that actually creates a barrier between you and the bar staff — I don’t care if it is all about the table service — I like to sit at a bar when I’m getting drunk — deal with it. Like I said the beer range is awesome, their own stuff is all brewed to Belgian traditions, so I normally stay away from that stuff as it’s not my cup of tea. The rest of their beers will be a mix if North American style stuff and traditional British porters and ales. The beer is served perfectly, which is never a bad thing. The staff are relatively efficient, though perhaps a bit too hipster, and it is another one of those bars where it seems they are encouraged to hang out talking to their pals and not focus on the newbies who are eager for information to help them sedate their thirst. The building is an old Victorian morgue so the stone work is beautiful exposed granite, which is pretty dramatic. They have gone for simple long beer hall style benches, which I think is great. They also have a mahoosive blackboard that lists all of their beers, though you will get a sore neck looking at it. They have iPads behind the bar which details all their bottled beers, though as is unfortunately the case everywhere, particularly in Aberdeen, they cost a fortune. You can jump on their wifi and get access to the homepage which shares the same info.

If you’re looking for a place to grab great beer in Aberdeen, then this is the place to be for sure. Although this place specialises in Belgian beers, there is a bit of variety as to what you can order. A place not to miss for anyone who’s a lover of beer like me.
