Goytre wharf

Goytre Wharf is a great place to visit with the family, its a six acre site on the Mon to Brecon canal with a visitor centre and a lovely marina. You can go for some lovely walks in the woodland or along the canal but for those less energetic there are boat trips. There’s plenty of wildlife to see including the rare Herons, be sure to take some bread for the numerous ducks and the large trout. After a stroll around there’s a café on site selling the usual snacks, ice creams, coffee, tea etc. Goytre Wharf has a boat yard where you can hire a barge on the canal for the day or longer, absolutely great fun and ideal venue for a birthday party or family get together.
