ossy mills is a great place to shop. there are so many different areas of shopping from the food hall(tasty sausages) to the extensive wine racks. the only negative i can say is that i find it a bit expensive. its oswaldtwistle not london. oh, and the sweet shop is fantastic, especially the ’ behind the scenes’ area!

Oswaldtwistle Mills is a great place to spend half a day. Within the main area there is a market place of vaious shops selling different things to the high street. there is a fantastic range of textiles, including bedding, curtaining and also offer a making up service for the cutains. there are craft type shops selling painted glasswear and outside there is a garden centre. Within the mill is a Sweet factory — Stockleys where you can see the sweets being made, add to that a range of clothing, gifts, homewear lighting, christmas trees etc There is a large car park and you can stay as long as you want free of charge.

Similar to Boundary Mill type places. Various shops selling homeware, textiles and also homes a textiles museum which tells the history of the textiles industry, the Hargreaves family and industrial town of Accrington/Oswaldtwistle. There is a garden centre at the entrance and last but not least; Stockleys Sweet Factory was here originally, but it has moved main production to a bigger more modern factory. The old factory still operates as a living museum and is part of the Oswaldtwistle Mills complex. You can watch the sweets being made and help yourself to free samples. They also have here The World’s Largest Pear Drop. Enthralling.
