Cold beer and great Italian! I had the Diablo pizza which wasn’t near as spicy as they let on. Nice casual place for dinner. The staff is warm and welcoming. Don’t forget to check out the desert menu!

This is a little Italian restaurant situated in Aldridge. I dined here on a Saturday night ensuring that I reserved a table. The restaurant was busy, and proves popular with the locals.
My partner and I chose a starter of bread, meats and olives to share but I was disappointed that it took half an hour just to put some bread and meats on a board. Not an acceptable waiting time I don’t think.
For my main I chose a pasta dish, which was very tasty but again this took a while to arrive, and we noticed that people who arrived after us were receiving their food before us!
There is a separate bar next door, which is ideal for a pre or post dinner drink.
It’s a shame that the dining area is small as if they could easily fill the bar area next door with tables as the tables are a bit too close together.
Wouldn’t return in a hurry, although the food is good and the service OK.

Portobello’s is in the heart of Aldridge, and serves a wide ranging menu of delicious Italian cuisine. The food is great, the interior modern and light. The slight downside is that, although the service is friendly and professional, they sometimes forget things eg. ones’ drink order.
