I attended a wedding reception yesterday, and having been to and worked at my fair share of wedding do’s, I can say that the Dunadry do it well. The happy couple were chuffed with the service provided on their big day. The venue — a lovely, traditional Irish building in the countryside. The grounds are really nice, with a courtyard for eating/drinking/smoking etc. And a big garden area where the guests can play croquet and rounders. Facilities — the rooms were homely, if a little basic but it fits with the style of the building. there were a few bars throughout the hotel, so even during a large function, you won’t wait long for service. The food serviced during dinner was good, traditional Irish 3 course & in the evening Indian finger food. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant & were kind enough to sort out taxis for guests. I’ll be back to try out the restaurant some time

I attended a wedding in this hotel. The grounds are very pleasant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The wedding tables were beautifully set out and the attention to detail was wonderful. The bar is overpriced but then again, most hotels are. The meal was just average. The room for the evening reception was spacious and airy. The lighting and ambience was perfect and the bar was private. However the evening buffet food was totally disgusting. The prices here are very expensive and it definately should have been edible! The sandwiches contained really cheap ham, hard cheese and floppy lettuce. The sausages were definately cooked on a dirty grill! ughhhhhhhhh. The food really lets this lovely hotel down!

The Dunadry Hotel is found in Antrim, so not technically in Belfast, and also not really reachable for the sake of a night out. That said, it’s one of the most popular wedding venues that I know of, so it’s worth reviewing just for that! Being out of the way, it benefits from having beautiful grounds(including a little river) surrounding it — ideal for pictures! The main room for weddings is huge. I’m no good at guessing, but I reckon it could take a big 300 person wedding without breaking a sweat. My cousin got married there last year and I was really impressed. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the whole day ran without a hitch. Which is all you can ask for really!

This hotel has a wonderful location in that it is very quiet and the surroundings are excellent. The grounds are perfect for photographs making it a popular choice for weddings in the area. The hotel is a little more expensive than others in the area but the service reflects this. The hotel offers a carvery at the weekends as well as an extensive menu to choose from and this is quite reasonable for hotel prices. The rooms could use redecoration but are clean enough. All the staff in the hotel are extremely efficent and friendly. The hotel also has ax excellent country club.

The setting of this hotel is lovely, and the grounds are beautuful. The interior of the hotel is really rustic and its great to be able to sit and have a drink in the evening at the bar beside the roaring fire. But the rooms let this hotel doen. While they are really spacious the decir is really dated and not what you’d expect from a hotel of this class and the prices they charge. The restaurant serves great food and the staff are friendly and efficient. The sunday carvery can be hit and miss and sometimes the quality isn’t as good as i expect from the dunadry. Overall though its a lovely hotel and well worth a visit, as long as you don’t mind the dated rooms.
