Marks & Spencer

I adore Marks and Spencer Food — it’s superb quality. Always a little disappointed in their wine though.
This particular store is a small shop which sells a full range of food items including all the ready meals, breads, frozen foods, wine, salads and sandwiches you would expect. Nice, pleasant staff too.
It can be super busy when the famous Marks and Spencer ‘Dine In’ meal deals are on offer though, so get here early on such days if you don’t want to miss out.
In addition you can order food for collection at special times of the year such as at Christmas and New Year, in particular I’d recommend the:
*Beetroot & caramelised shallot tarte tatin
*Mushroom wellington
*Roast butternut, almond & pecan roast

I’m a fan of this company, I have been for nearly 40 years. Quality first always. This branch does not sell clothes it’s chiefly an edge of town fresh & frozen food hall with booze, magazines and flowers. It also has its own bakery, which is normally reserved for the larger stores serving a range of breads and pastries including sugar crisp apple puffs and the superb, wonderful, heavenly Eccles cakes. Oh why can’t their fabulous and sticky Eccles cakes be healthy, then I could munch on them every day guilt free. It’s a compact little place with lots of free parking out front. It’s not badly stocked either. The staff are a chatty and friendly bunch.
