Go to this fine bunch of young guys and you’ll never use a car wash machine again! Excellent attention to detail and customer service. Whitchurch is a little out of the way but well worth the visit.

You know when your car gets to the stage where it’s so dirty it’s not entirely clear what colour it’s supposed to be? Well, that gives you an idea of the state of my car when I drove into this place! I don’t usually frequent car washes because my husband maintains that the brushes scratch your car(!), but since the sign specifically said hand car wash, I thought I’d give it a go, especially since the rest of the sign read from £5 — bargain, I thought! For a fiver I was quite prepared for a quick spray off and sponge down, but I was pleasantly surprised to find 4 hard working men spraying, lathering, leathering, waxing, polishing and ‘tyre prepping’(whatever that is) for the best part of 15 minutes. Towards the end of this I was convinced that I’d got the price wrong and was starting to sweat that I didn’t have enough money on me, but no, they only charged me a fiver. Absolutely marvellous — just wish I lived a bit closer so I could use them regularly.
