A pleasure to deal with, this is how a bureaucracy should be run. I registered with The Share Centre when my previous brokers, Barclays Stockbrokers, discontinued share dealing. Details automatically transferred to The Share Centre and all I had to do was fill in a form and send in a prepaid envelope.
Unlike Barclays, one can use one’s debit card over the phone to purchase certificated shares instead of sending a cheque. Email confirmation sent immediately and the share certificate came in the post in about a week. Well recommended.
