Pretty decent food and fast service. Only ever used it for take away, not to dine in. Not had any issues with the food thus far.

Papa’s has re-​opened and has received a massive face lift, the new Papa’s looks fresh and modern and looks more inviting to have a sit in meal, where the old one looked old and not that inviting, and as always the fish and chips hasto be one of the best in Maidstone and has been for many years, even before the facelift, so take note, Papa’s is back!

When it opened many years back it heralded a new level of service for good food locally. A spacious smart restaurant and a good choice of dishes on the menu. In a prime location it has a great amount of passing trade. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Somewhat indifferent service and, bearing in mind the above average prices, portion sizes are not very generous. e.g. One gherkin with your take-​away will cost you £1.00! The staff at the take-​away counter look fed up and take no interest in giving good service and I suspect that poor training is the reason. I used to be a regular now I’ll only use Papas if everywhere else is closed. Pity.
