One very big point to make about this place — the ice-cream is absolutely superb.
Their Pooh Bear ice-cream is the best I have ever tasted, and has never been bettered by high-end ice-cream in restaurants.
The menu still seems a bit limited for other food and the service isn’t perfect but don’t miss an opportunity to try the ice-cream!

The recent move of Mauds up to the new ASDA development and addition of a sit-in café is a welcome change for Ballyclare which is lacking in good coffee shops. Unfortunately Mauds has a fair bit to go. The food is good but the service is woefully and sullenly slow. Threes visits have still failed to show any improvement which is a pity.
The free car park is a welcome extra as previously you had to fight for space on Main Street.
Worth checking out if you have time to wait. And I do mean wait.
