The Northern Ireland Game Fair is held every may in the beautiful Ballywalter Park, In a previous review I compared Ballywlater park to something out of Pride and Prejudice and during the game fair you will definitely think you have been transported back to the 19th century. Think tweed, hunter Wellington boots and Barbour wax jackets. If this sounds like the sort of thing that you would wear then I would suggest a visit to ball Walter park. Recently fairs like this one have come under a bit of scrutiny but the aim of Northern Irelands Game fair is to create a positive view of the countryside and to exercise the ways that sporting pursuits, conservation and farming can work together to create a bright country future. Even if you are not particularly interested in Game or outdoor activities I would urge anyone to pay the glorious and picturesque Ballywalter Park a visit, it will run an open grounds policy during the fair so it will be ideal for a family day out.
