People come from all over to visit this excellent fish and chip shop and us locals know why. To die for chips and fish that literally melts in the mouth, a thirty minute wait on a Friday night is well worth it try it and see!

You know when you go into a chippy & you know it’s going to be good, the place is clean & doesn’t have that tired greasy feel to it? Everything is freshly cooked to order, so it hasn’t been sitting there drying out & they reckon the fish is sourced from sustainable sources. There’s always a queue on Friday nights & when taking your order they always take your name & shout you when it’s ready.
I always go for Cod/Haddock & Chips, which is crisp on the outside & succulent in the middle, you can even order a side salad. They also do cans of funky fizzy drinks with elderflower/dandelion/burdock & ginger beer. The fish always comes in it’s own individual bag so it doesn’t go all soggy on your way home.
Can’t comment on the restaurant as I’ve only had the takeaway.
Apparently they also have mobile catering vans for parties & weddings if that’s your thing!
