Stagecoach

I do not drive so use Stagecoach at least once a week to and from Festival Place in Basingstoke. My bus is mostly late departing from Festival Place and much more annoying is when the bus lanes are changed but they don’t bother to update the boards.
Sometimes the drivers will pull into a different lane and will not notify the passengers who are waiting on the correct lane and I have missed the bus quite a few times because of this failure. It is very unsatisfactory especially when you have a young child with you in bad weather.
Most of the bus drivers are very polite and helpful and the bus fares seems reasonable especially when using a Day Rider Ticket.
The buses themselves are reasonably comfortable and the bus that I get is never overcrowded with passengers so it is easy to find a seat.

The Bus company Stagecoach is the main travel provider to Basingstoke. Most busses in my experience run ontime but towards the evening the schedule is a little dissapointing. Tickets are quite pricey and the best options i find are Day Rider /​Mega Riders which work out a lot cheaper than normal returns. Staff are polite and professional.
