In our short visit in Bath, we came here twice and were told that the Café Rouge had recently reopened after extensive remodeling. The first time for lunch was delicious so we went back for dinner two nights later. Ordered same item and they forgot to put the sauce on the asparagus ravioli. The service was also lacking during the dinner. I would rate higher but the food and service quality were inconsistent.

This is a lovely Café Rouge, right in the heart of some of Baths best shopping haunts. Main advice would be to avoid on a Saturday daytime, as it gets very, very busy. This doesn’t mean a huge wait, but it does mean the place gets quite messy and loud and, I feel, the food isn’t quite as good as normal. Best time, if you’re in the area, is weekday mornings. The breakfasts are gorgeous and, if you can bag a window seat, perfect to enjoy some people watching over.

Great atmosphere, good service, and always good food for lunch. I just love the Breton Chicken, and the fish dishes. busy, but never too long to wait. Breakfast is a treat too. Have done some BOGOF vouchers on mains weekdays from their website

This place is very expensive compared to the regular high street cafes and restaurants, but then it’s not the sort of place that you treat as a regular haunt — at least on my kind of budget, it’s not. Then again, whenever I have managed to find myself flush for a day, there’s nothing better than coming here, ordering off the French-language menu, talking to the French staff and imagining you’ve escaped to Paris for an hour or so. The food and drink, typical of France in general when compared to British cuisine, is of the highest standards, so if that’s your thing, head here for a treat.

Had a really nice lunch here while visiting Bath. They have a nice prix fixe menu(which my husband ordered off of) and I got a croque madame, which was very good. They also had a holiday special on a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine, which we enjoyed very much.

One of the better ‘chain’ restaurants i’ve had the pleasure to frequent. I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions and i just love the baked cambembert starter which is served with bread sticks, bread and celery. The staff have always been very nice and it provides a pretty authentic french atmosphere.

café rouge in bath is a very well set out, and the food is always very good. they serve evrything from a snack to full a la carte, or you can just go for coffee or a galss of wine — and try the selection of warm bread and dips for snack.

Situated on Milsom Street at the top end of Bath town centre, this is a friendly and welcoming Café Rouge. As you walk in the front area is relaxing and more of a café type area you can still eat here though and it’s nice to sit in the window. Further back is the bar and a large restaurant area with many table and chairs and right at the back the seating is padded benches. The staff are very attentive and polite, and the service is extremely good. The food is delicious there is something addictive about their fries! The menu is extensive and you can have anything from a small snack like soup or a baguette to a main meal, all of which are up to a very high standard. Licensed as well as serving teas and coffees, this is a great place to go for lunch or dinner and also a good place for large parties.
