Great spot for a light, relaxed lunch. Paninis, toasties, sandwiches and soups are the main menu options with lots of choice of fillings and sides. This is not a regular fast food style restaurant, its the kind of place you can sit and enjoy your food, followed by a coffee and one of the enormous tray bakes they have on offer. I highly recommend trying the homemade Cajun crisps but be warned, they do have a kick to them

Was looking for a nice meal without breaking the bank balance. Decided to look into a BYO restaurant. Found Belvedere on the Cregagh road. This café/restaurant served breakfast & lunch and then dinner on a Friday and Saturday. We ate of the early bird menu — 2 courses for £10.95 or 3 courses for £13.95. Couldn’t believe how cheap it was. The menu had a great choice. I had the salted chilli chicken with sweet chilli jam to start and a chicken and bacon caesar salad for main. My partner has the chicken caesar salad to start and«thee burger» for main. Both meals were delicious and the girl on front of house was excellent. It wasn’t overly busy but the music in the back ground was great and added to the atmosphere. We left shortly after 8.30 and the place had filled up more by then. A great find and we will definitely be back… Will even make a point of trying breakfast or lunch here too. The only bad point is they don’t accept card but there was a cash machine just a few doors up. Oh and one last thing … No corkage charge which not many places honour!

A diamond find on the cregagh road. Went there for lunch and had the jerk pork which was delicious and the price was very reasonable.

In my humble opinion, the Belvedere is the best little café on the Cregagh. Friendly, bright, clean, tasty, it has all the good adjectives to describe it! It feels like a little community, bustling with locals who all seem to know each other, and welcomed by staff who are so nice you are convinced you must have met them before. Serving a mixture of breakfast treats and lunch favourites like a good old toastie to sausage, beans and chips they have something for everyone. so long as that ‘everyone’ likes a good feed. They even do salads for the calorie concious, but I’ve never tried them as their full breakfast is a hug on a plate and probably the only non-greasy one I’ve tried in town. They also do a posher evening menu on Friday and Saturday nights which is BYO, and by the breakfast and lunches I’ve enjoyed, it is bound to be a winner.
