Very keen for a cup of coffee, I stopped in here one morning, admittedly also for research purposes. I got a cappuccino which took me back decades as it was like one of those very hot, weak, sweet milky coffees that tasted just like the ones you used to get in the old days before all this coffee madness took over. So, this is not really the place for coffee. However, I’d come back here for tea and a fry up. Café du Monde also offers lunch deals like sausages, mashed potato and gravy for £4.25, or club sandwiches with wedges and salads for £4.95, while sandwiches are £2.95, and more for toasted ones and paninis.
