A strawberry cheesecake cupcake eaten at Cherish has made me feel just a little over indulged and in need of a two mile walk but it was delicious. Even at lunch time, however, the café is more quiet than it should be, perhaps because of the out of the way location. However, that does make it an excellent place for taking advantage of the WiFi while the clean, uncluttered surroundings and good coffee would aid the concentration for some work. Cherish cupcakes have a takeway menu(they’re £1.70 and £1.65) — useful perhaps for a special occasion.

Nice dinky little shop… great window display, I imagine you’ll be sidetracked once you see some of the treats on show in the window. Very colourful and even more exciting is the icing work bench to the left of the main area where you can see these little delights being created. The décor is all colour coordinated and the seating is a suitably quirky mix of pouffes and design chairs. I didn’t go the whole hog for the cupcake experience but had a very good latte in there and it was a pity the café didn’t seem to be busier. Maybe it was just a slow time I was in at but I can’t see it being like this for long once it catches on and word spreads. Pros: Bags of charm and character. Cons: Just too far off the main drag?

The café is really modern and girlie and even has stools the lovely pastelle colous of the icing on the cakes! The display on offer is really nice and everything from scones, cakes and cupcakes are on offer, The tea and coffee is really good and my chocolate cupcake was so good it felt wrong to eat it… but worth every bite! A definate place to visit for those with a sweet toooth and this place will become a favourite amongst us girls to take a load off! yum yum yum!
