Just had a lovely 2 course meal with a friend for a bargain price of £29. I had the goats cheese terrine which was great but needed that wee bit of bread and my friend the duck. Highlight the meal was our excellently seasoned steaks. Friendly & attentive service!

A few friends and I went along to the Chopin Grand Café for a festive get-together. A big plus for us was the fact that it was BYO so we could save a few pounds in this incredibly expensive month! I arrived first in our party and entered the restaurant. I stood just inside the entrance for a while waiting to be greeted, but it became apparent that was not going to happen, so I approached a member of staff who I take to be the owner/manager who pointed me to my table in a rather offhand way. I got seated and waited for the rest of our table to arrive. Our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. I decided to go for the traditional Christmas Turkey, which was absolutely delicious! Slightly small portion for the cost, but the quality of the food was fantastic! After my main course, I had the cheese board, which again was perfect with a nice selection of three cheeses, crackers, and grapes. The ambiance of the restaurant was the main downfall unfortunately. Everyone was crammed in, understandably it was busy because of the season, but it was so packed it was uncomfortable, and the other diners were incredibly loud and rowdy which was slightly off-putting. I might potentially come back again, but at a less busy time of the year so I can enjoy my surroundings as well as enjoying the food.

I heard alot of great reviews about this restaurant but unfortunately I was left disappointed. The prices were great with a 2 course meal costing only £15 and it was BYO also which is great while on a budget. The food was pretty average but the main course was tasty. Service wasn’t great as we were left with a table not large enough for the booking. Overall a nice restaurant when on a budget.

This is a lovely place. It looks stylish and clean and is in the nice setting of St Anne’s Sq without any pretentiousness. The service is friendly and fast and the food is generous and pretty budget-friendly with a £12.95 for two courses and a glass of wine lunch. It’s also BYO, so careful now! ;) I couldn’t quite justify 5 stars as, while the food is really lovely, it’s not going to blow your mind. I’d say it’s more homely. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

I’m a fan of this little restaurant. It’s BYO and has a great menu. I’m particularly partial to the mushroom pasta so was devastated when they recently changed their menu and removed this from it! There’s lots to still choose from however. It’s great for a relaxed evening out and the desserts are pure indulgence.
