If you are in Belfast for business or leisure make Darcy’s a must! The food, the atmosphere, did I mention the food? Seafood Chowder… outstanding. Irish stew… amazing Sticky toffee pudding… unreal And a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. DONTMISSTHISPLACE. YOU’ll regret it if you do!

I have to increase my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars because every time I visit Darcy’s it is perfect! I have been quite a few times now, and was there again tonight with my parents and my husband. The food is delicious and there is a lot of choice. If you come before 7pm a lot of the dishes are offered for £7.77 which saves a few pounds, and other offers and specials are available everyday. The portions are generous and I always leave feeling absolutely stuffed! My favourite meal is probably the half roast chicken served with ham, mash, roast potatoes and vegetables, but the chicken and ham pie served with fat chips and vegetables that I had tonight was delicious too. They also have meals like steak, burger, duck, fish and chips, stew, and many more. Anything me or my family have had has been very much enjoyed. The desserts are also awesome — I love the raspberry ruffle cheesecake! Staff are very friendly and helpful and service is very quick. I love Darcy’s and highly recommend it!

Delicious meal! As we were a large party of 8, we were seated upstairs. The table was oddly shaped, with one member of the party being cut off slightly due to the arrangement of tables, however we weren’t too bothered by this. I had pâté to start(the accompanying bread was delicious) and duck for my main with was served with sweet potato fries and a plum sauce, which was so tasty. I tasted the muscles and brownie, which were also lovely! No complaints, very enjoyable meal!

There are many places to choose from around the area. Tourists probably go after the more fancy looking places around this one. We chose to stay and eat here. We were not disappointed. Very friendly wait staff and some very good food here. The menu has some very good items and if you order before 7pm, some of the things offered are less expensive. You will want to order a starter here. They are very good. I ordered the fish of the day special which was bass and sweet potatoes and my wife had the fish and chips. My only small issue was with their beer selection. There were only two beers on tap. One was Guinness and the other was Carlsberg. Had it not been for that I would have given this place five stars. We were able to get wifi from the place next door while we were here.

Before visiting Darcy’s i wasn’t aware of where the restaurant even was but after tasting the most amazing chicken and ham pie i can say that i will definitely be back to try more of what they have to offer! They have some great offers including the 7.77 deal before 7pm. Darcy’s is central to the likes of Laverys, Albini and Benidicts so if you fancy a few drinks afterwards there is plenty to choose from within walking distance

Love this place. Staff are really friendly especially the French waiter who always goes over and beyond for us on special occasions. Weather it is a complimentry after dinner liquer or just generally over having a laugh with our table. Mussels are one of my favourite in the town and their new cocktail menu definitely brings the place into a era. Their menu before 7 pm is also excellent value.

Tried it on a whim after a few beers in Woodworkers beside it, it was a Saturday night, place was rammed, great buzz and that feeling you get when you look around a busy room and everyone’s happy and enjoying themselves, a good start. They found us a table upstairs after a very short wait, these people are efficient and know how to turn a table. Upstairs has had some work done since I was last here about a year ago, and it looks amazing, really warm and interesting. We settled on a couple of specials, sirloins, choice of sauces, and 3 sides, folks these are £10 each, that includes everything, unbeatable! Ok it’s not massive, but it’s good beef cooked to perfection accompanied by everything you need, add a bottle of house wine at £13, and very glugable it was too. I can’t recommend this place enough, fantastic value, great service, give it a go, but not on a Saturday ok, cos I’m going to be wanting a table again.

Stopped by for dinner ordered the duck and spicy cabbage, the duck was ok, the cabbage was bland. I got the home made brownie for dessert, it came out warm which mixed well with the ice cream. The staff are very nice one of the waitress asked me if I was traveling on my own, I said yes her reply you must be enjoying it but your mom has to be worried cause I know I would be for my son.

We got there before 7 and half the menu was discounted. Ambiance was very nice but not hootie too tie. Went with my wife and kid… drank some, ate some, laughed some… worth a stop if ur in the vicinity

Fantastic. Heard good reviews about here and decided to give it a try. Called in a with 2 friends and were all mighty impressed by it. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was exceptional. The chicken pâté was superb. The mussels were plentyful and of a good size. The pie was an actual pastry filled pie and not a dish with pastry on top. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were very tasty, big and plenty of them. Will be back again.

The interior is very nice. Quaint and warm with a touch of northern Ireland heritage. My food was average but I expected nothing more for £7.77(a deal they do before 7pm). I would definitely recommend, food-on, joe

Top spot! Staff all friendly and super efficient. Great atmosphere, cosy, but not cramped. Menu was varied and the goats cheese tartlet and sweet potato chips were great! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Portions are very ample, do not need to order various side orders to actually make up a meal like most restaurants! Definitely value for money. Great food, cheery staff, lovely atmosphere.

Thought we’d go into Lavery’s, which has a lot of reviews but we decided with Darcy’s instead after dubiously looking at Lavery’s in person. It was the best decision we could make. The food is as delicious as can be, and I ordered a veggie only pie. Servings are generous, and flavours are full, I could not find any fault with the night’s dinner. The low hanging ceiling added to the intimate setting.

Darcy’s is a restaurant that you’d miss if you blinked! It’s hidden away behind a tree(yeas, actually) beside laverys. Once inside the place is really tiny but not in the claustrophobic way, its really intimate and great for a date. The menu is really big and there’s so much to choose from, I love the honey mustard chicken and the food is always cooked perfect and served promptly. The staff are great and the house wine is really nice and compliments the food on offer. Darcy’s has won loads of fantastic reviews which can be seen proudly displayed on the window outside and the prices are a bit higher than most eateries in the nearby vicinity. Most certainly well worth a visit and the extra money. A great restaurant which always meets every expectations.

I’ve stood beside the place, in a drunken mess more times I care to remember. Snuggled in right beside my favourite drinking hole, you’d be forgiven if you missed it despite its purple front. One of the few times I’ve did more than stand near it and actually went in I was quite surprised. Its a tiny, tiny place with a befittingly intimate atmosphere. The food was great. I had the char-grilled chicken and it was perfectly cooked and tender. The prices are really quite reasonable, the food worth every penny. The drinks weren’t to much of a drain on the purse strings either, which meant the evening could flow without anyone getting to worried about taking an extra glass of wine. I quite like that darcy’s is hidden away, it makes it all the more surprising when you eventually do find it and realise what you’ve been missing all this time.

Went to Darcy’s after we couldn’t get into another restaurant elsewhere and boy was I suprised. As an other reviewer has said, it’s an easy place to miss. Tucked away right next door to Lavery’s, it’s not hard to just walk on by the front door. But do yourself a favor and head inside Darcy’s. The place is tiny inside, just enough for a row of tables on each side of the room and the lighting is appropriately dim. The meals feature British and European dishes. My partner and I are both vegetarians, but we had no problems finding something delicious to fit our palate. They have an extensive wine list and stay open late for people who wish to dine at more«European» times.
