Four star pizza, on beersbridge road, top pizzas full of flavour, there are always deals on the window. Phone in and place your order and collect or go into the shop and order, order normally takes 10 — 15 mins waiting time.

I’m not overly keen on Pizza, but the other half is, so when an offer of a medium pizza, garlic bread and a drink was texted to her, she was quick to bring it back for a treat. To be honest, all takeaway pizza is vastly overpriced for what it is, and 4 star are by no means cheap, but at the end of the day, it’s whether the goods are up to scratch. Unfortunately, this pizza did not come up to the mark, it was overdone, a rich brown colour and was a bit too doughy for my liking, it tasted like an Iceland pizza at £1.50 to be honest, the garlic bread was nicer, but nothing spectacular. Maybe this was an off night for Four Star, and some people love them, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Four Star Pizza is the north’s attempt at providing that American style of pizza so often favoured by the big chains such as Dominos and Pizza Hut. Now I do have a penchant for the former when I’m feeling particularly cheeky but anytime I’ve substituted it for a Four Star I’ve been more than pleased. This local chain has several outlets located across the city and just on the outskirts and has many a tasty little offer floating about if you check on their website or get a pamphlet through the door. The pizzas are large, full of toppings and well cooked. Nice chewy yankee style dough, very similar to what I had n my last trip to New York.

If you’re looking for an easy pizza then I’d definitely choose Dominoes over Four Star Pizza. The delivery service is pretty dead on and staff are friendly and helpful, but the pizzas just don’t taste great. They’re fresh and well cooked but just don’t do it for me.

The pizzas that you buy here are not the best in the world buy any means, I think A-Ok is a pretty good description. In the past they have done well I think as they would have really decent offers on the table such as ‘buy 1 get one free’ deals. When these deals come around its time to fill yer boots!!! I don’t think it will ever get out from under its domin’o’eering big brothers shadow. The last time I was in here they were a little bit touchy about allowing their special offers for big groups and were quite rude. It kind of put a bad taste in my mouth, luckily their pizzas removed the bad taste.

I find it somewhat ironic that I am going to be giving this place a Four Star review, but i must follow my heart and avoid urges to chage my review to stop resorting to a poor joke! I feel the criticisms in other Four Star reviews about price were very harsh, especially considering that he said the pizza from here was indeed excellent. The reason why places like this and Domino’s are so popular is because frozen supermarket pizzas are quite frankly rubbish! Goodfellas and the like are only good if you have a few too many electric soups coursing through the system if you catch my drift! The only good pizzas you used to get from supermarkets were from Asda, which made them fresh in store, but they have recently stopped, which was a bad moment for my tongue, but a good one for my waistline! Getting back on track, this place is just as good as Domino’s, but is a small bit cheaper. The bases are really tasty, the sauce subtle and aromatic and the toppings are good quality They do good meal deals like two medium pizzas for £15, so they provide good deals on top of excellent pizza!
