I went along one Saturday night for the 2 courses for £15 option. Really liked the options available as there was something for everyone. I had the soup followed by the chicken Caesar salad and they were both lovely. I also had a dessert to follow(and this is the reason why I rated ‘average’ and not very good) — I opted for the nutty chocolate sundae £4 for 2 scoops of average tasting vanilla ice-cream with a bit of squirty cream? Behave yourself! The atmosphere and service were both good, and apart from the dessert, the prices were reasonable, so I’d probably return if I was in the area again.

Soulless, tired and very average food. It’s a pity because it’s got a great site, staff were great, they’re just not given a lot to work with. On second reading of the menu quickly realised that it’s mostly deep fried, wine list is grossly overpriced and less than interesting. Was just glad to leave, parking is great tho and they do have a pretty good smoking area. Don’t even bother with the actual bar!

Went for a party with work last week and considering the size of our group the service was dead on. Attentive staff and friendly. The food was good and the venue is very nice. The beer garden to is nice to sit out on a mild night. The side lounge is good for a chill out. I would go back.

Was in the Lounge bar of the Four Winds today for the first time. It’s a large comfy bar with lots of huge TV screens and cosy sofas. Nice spot which seems popular with football/sports watchers. The Four Winds also has an upstairs Grill restaurant and a downstairs Wine Bar — which was full of diners. Menus for both restaurants looked good and I intend to return to try them out. There’s also a fabulous, spacious outside area called The Courtyard with lots of beautiful whicker furniture, heaters and more TV screens. Can’t wait to try The Courtyard in the summer months — looks like a delightful spot to while away a few lazy summer evenings.

The following is for the bar restaurant area. Have been going here for years and not much has ever changed. Thought I would give it another try recently, to my dismay. The service is very disappointing and one member of staff in particularly acted like she couldn’t care less. We ordered a starter and main course, waited about 30 minutes and still nothing arrived and then we were brought our starters and main courses together. Initially we didn’t even get an apology from the waitress, just a ‘not my problem, deal with it’ attitude. The only redeeming factor was that some of the starters were delicious. Could be a great local restaurant if some of the staff had adequate customer service training.

There are three parts to the Four Winds, Ink Restaurant, Blue Glass and the Lounge. Ink Restaurant on the first floor provides modern cuisine, very well presented. It used to be quite expensive but has come down in price recently. On the ground floor you’ll find The Lounge — a traditional style pub/bar with booths and Blue Glass. Blue Glass serves great ‘bar style’ food such as burgers, steaks, fajitas and Sunday Roasts. Extremely family friendly and sometime put on activities such as face painting and balloon modelling for the kids on a Sunday.
