Just had a pastie bap which we ordered online, I was starving and delighted to see the biggest pastie I’ve ever seen stuffed into a bap with loads of salad. Pastie looked nearly two inches thick and the batter was really nice and crispy. Probably the best I’ve had. Very filling.

Been going to the fryar tuck for few years and its a great fish and chip shop sitting at the top of Bloomfield road, at grand parade roundabout. There are meal deals, yummy pasties and chips, chatty friendly staff. Also the chippy offer a delivery service.

This place really isn’t up my street at all. they do greasy fry ups, burgers and chips, fish and chips and other general heart attack foods. The food is alright, but I can think of plenty of other places I’d choose over here.

The Fryar tuck has been just off the roundabout at Grande parade and Bloomfield avenue for as long as I can remember. I remember going here every friday night when I used to visit a friend living close by. I used to have their sausage which is decent enough and I guess they had to be doing something right for me to return every week. Alike any other chippy they offer the usual burgers, fish, chicken and chips. Nothing that special and their portions are not even that big. The locals love it cause its their local, but its nothing special. Sorry Fryar! I’m going down to Robin Hood’s instead!!!
