Lee Garden serve amazingly delicious food with great vegetarian options including mixed vegetable, tofu and aubergine dishes. I visited this evening and had salt and chilli tofu starter and shared aubergine in honey chilli sauce, pak choi and mixed garlic vegetables with my dining companion. All was beautiful and fresh tasting. Wine is economically priced with most bottles being around £12. We had a Pinot Grigio which was very good. Service was attentive and friendly and the only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that the restaurant was a bit on the cold side! If they turn up the heating they’ll definitely be 5 stars.

I really enjoy dining in Lee Garden. I’ve visited it quite a lot for lunches, evening meals and work nights out. I’ve just never had a bad meal here, the food has always been delicious. Service is efficient and quick and there’s a good range of wines and beers. I’ve never ventured onto the Dim Sum menu, instead I tend to stick to the main European/Chinese menu. My favourite options being the ever popular vegetarian spring rolls followed by a vegetable main in either black bean or sweet & sour sauce. A reliable, consistent restaurant which I’d definitely recommend. I really must be more adventurous in my food choices on my next visit, as Lee Garden has a huge menu. Plus, due to its huge glass front it’s a bright, airy building which makes for great people watching, if you manage to get a window side table looking onto Botanic Avenue.

The food at Lee Garden is good. Not amazing or dizzying not awful, not average it’s good. The staff are efficient and thorough, but aren’t prone to smiling. They’re not unpleasant, they’re just not keen on grinning. All of the aforementioned wasn’t a problem at all and it didn’t seem to be noticed by anyone else either. Basically, Lee Garden is perfectly fine. The layout is pretty modern, with glass stairways and big round tables, perfect for large-ish groups. So, if you’re a work’s do or a birthday party looking for somewhere to chow down, this place could well tick your boxes. Other than that, there’s very little to say about Lee Garden, thereby making this review feel like a waste of your time. Sorry. Not everywhere is remarkable enough to warrant hyperbole or forced damnation.

can’t tell you how happy this place makes me. dim sum has always been a favorite of mine, and lee garden has yet to disappoint. all of the dishes were excellent, and, despite the experiences of the other reviewers here, i have found the service to be friendly and efficient. my wife and i absolutely stuffed ourselves for under 20 quid, including tip. lee garden can’t be beaten!

Some places in Belfast are set to become institutions and the Lee Garden Chinese restaurant is no exception. I started going there with my husband, well… some years ago and we still love it. It is unpretentious, decent Chinese food in an always-busy atmosphere. Good beer and wine, a loud buzz of conversation — it really does what it says on the tin. The service is friendly and madly efficient — the staff are great. One word of caution, though: it’s mega popular with staff outings at Christmas time and these can be quite boisterous — so save a romantic food-fest for two for other times. We love the starters and often order 4 or 5 instead of main courses, with more cold beer, of course. It’s located beside Botanic Train Station and loads of taxi firms. If you can restrain your calorie intake you could even bop on down to somewhere like The Empire for music and dancing… with more cold beer, of course!

This place is a very popular eatery situated just at the bottom of Botanic Avenue. It is very popular with the local Chinese community which live around the area it resides in. It’s always a good sign when the native people enjoy the cuisine there. You know your going to get something really quite authentic. At lunch time the do a great offer of three courses for around £7 which is a bargain. he courses are tiny, but there’s three of em so you can’t complain. Like a lot of the Chinese restaurants in Belfast, the service is swift and you can’t expect you chill out there for a while to let your grub settle.

Lee Garden is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Belfast and I’m always excited to be heading in be either for a sit down or takeaway. The first thing that’s striking is the huge glass frontage which covers the two stories of the restaurant. Once inside it’s all low lighting and chic décor but the big room and high ceilings make sure you never feel too cramped and normally the place is packed. There’s a pretty comprehensive selection of dishes and they range from the generic(curries, sweet and sour) to slightly more exotic fare(lobster, duck etc). It can get pricey of you get a lot of side dishes but that’s one of the best things about dining the Chinese way. We normally order a load of dishes and share them all round. There’s a reasonable beer and wine selection, and they also do set meals and lunch specials which are normally good value as well. If you in the locale and fancy hearty Chinese in a pleasant environ then the Lee Garden is a worthy choice. Pros: Nice atmosphere, good food. Cons: There are cheaper options around

I love a good Chinese and Lee Garden really is just that! Its at the far end of Botanic Avenue which means not only does it benefit from the student trade it also gets passers by from shaftsbury Square and the Lisburn road. The one thing that made me realise this was going to be good before I read the menu was that there were a vast majority of Chinese customers-if they’re there it must be good stuff! And I was right! I decided to go for the crispy shredded beef with salt and chili and fried rice. It was divine! the beef was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it-another plus my waistline won’t benefit from. I had a glass of the house white which was really good and complimented the food well. The staff were so friendly and were absolutely brilliant when it came to service! The restaurant is clean modern and has a nice authentic feel to it! Certainly somewhere i will be visiting again and again! yum yum!

In my opinion this is one of the best places to get Chinese food in Belfast, especially one that does takeaways. I’ve sat in for their cheap and cheerful lunch menu(which I must add no one else in the place were having, it was mainly Chinese families enjoying dim sum) and it was great, cheap although nothing spectacular. This is the place the local Chinese community in Belfast seem to frequent, which is a good sign. They do a range of traditional Chinese/European dishes as well as a superb range of delectable dim sum which is fantastic. The most memorable food I’ve had was a brilliant pork satay. We got a takeaway after a lazy day strolling the shops and decided cooking was not on the agenda. Fantastically tender pork(of which there was plenty) in a rich, well balanced nutty sauce served on fried rice. It’s not exactly pushing the boat out as far as creativity goes but it certainly hit the spot. Prices are reasonable although the takeaway is a little higher when compared with others in the area however in my opinion the standard and quality is an awful lot higher.

This restaurant is so impressive from the outside, somewhat similar to that of Speranza around the corner. We went in and as it is so big, there was very few seats taken. The place seems to do a trade of large parties because as we were waiting for our food, a group of 8 or 9 people came in and they were seated no problems, and if anything got more attention from waitresses than us. We weren’t disturbed at all during our meal and my shredded chicken in like a spicy sauce was fine but I felt I could have probably made it at home. It’s a decent restaurant and better than a takeaway, but I don’t know if I will go back

This massive building is one of many Chinese restaurants that has opened in the Botanic/Donegall Pass area, due to the high amount of Chinese people living nearby, and it’s a nice place, lots of room for large parties, and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. The staff are really nice, and we’ve eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. They open for lunch too, which is a really smart idea due to the fact that they are so close to ‘studentville’ — they really do benefit from this passing trade and the munchies of course. On a recent visit, I had the satay and the chicken curry — really lovely, couldn’t fault it and we will be back again at some point in the future I’m sure.
