Loko is a very small alternative skating shop smuggly squashed beside Buffalo Bills burger bar and a plethora of smutty shops for the lonely middle aged gentleman with no internet connection. It looks like a cool little shop and if I was 15/16, I would probably make it one of my regular haunts on a Saturday. Skater’s spend a hell of a lot of money to do what they love doing and the price tags in here reflect that. Their boards are all fantastic top of the range pieces of kit and so, can go some way in justifying their cost. The lady behind the counter was very polite, and asked me if I needed any help. I kindly refused and left, fearing she might discover I’m just a nosey git with no intentions of spending any money.

This small, independent skate shop is located just behind the bustling court and is situated among Belfast’s many seedy sex shops(I say seedy that’s just a term that sounds fitting, they are in general just hilarious) Loko is a modest little store which sells a range of skate gear, shoes, spray paint and t-shirts. I’m not a skater, never have been and cannot for the life of me balance on a board but I do like skate shoes. The prices are fairly typical, although slightly less than maybe some of the bigger stores like Schuh. A good range of Vans and DC, as well as some fantastic Spitfire t-shirts, many of which I was very tempted to buy.
