Mono

I’ve got to say my night out at Mono was probably one of the best nights i’ve had in a long time thanks to club mono, belfast. It was my birthday and as another venue had let us down at the last minute I had to look around for somewhere else that could facilitate my party, in steps club mono and offers me their lovely VIP Lounge.
I would recommend this club to anyone who wants a good night out, good music and friendly bouncers.

I really love club Mono. Its really deceptive from the outside and you’d expect it to be one of those old run down clubs still trying to hang on past its sell by date, but the truth couldn’t be further from the truth. Its really modern and new inside! The bar is pretty big as is the dance floor (what else matters?) and they even have a seating area where you can just chill out with your friends or your date. The music is spot on too. Fridays they mash up some R’N’B with some dance and Saturday it gets electro. Love it! Mono attracts big name DJ’s including Ministry of Sound so your always guaranteed a good night with a mix of the new and oldschool! We always come here as a group and always have a fantastic night out! I really can’t get enough of this place and as always get there early if you want to avoid the big queues!

The exterior of this watering hole belies its interior. From the front, it looks almost like an abandoned building that has had it’s windows boarded up and painted over, but when you get inside you soon realize that that’s part of its vibe. It’s cool and hip and has a slightly underground but trendy feel to it, and the crowd is very mixed. The drinks are reasonable in price, not extortionate, and there are three separate bar areas. There is one which is a normal bar, the second area incorporates the dancefloor, and the third area is available for private hire and VIP functions — and is very stylish and modern, a good place to book for a birthday or big event. The music is wide ranging and will suit all sorts of tastes. It’s a little out of the way of the ‘main drag’ of other bars, but has a loyal following of clientele.

I’ve had better nights out. The bar staff were nice though.
