Ok, so I only ate dinner in this place, so I can’t comment on the bar/club in the back, but I was seriously unimpressed. Maybe it’s because it’s a largely Italian menu and I think Italian food is generally very boring(unless it’s done right, which it very rarely is), but the food on offer wasn’t really enough to excite me. Plus, I ordered the burger(seriously not a big Italian food fan!), and I’m not totally convinced it was cooked completely — very bad! All in all, it was a totally forgettable experience. I suppose if I lived on the Lisburn Road it might be nice to have somewhere handy to call in and get a nice Penne Arrabiata, but to be honest, there’s a Marks & Spencer food hall a bit further down the road that’ll do you just as well!

Anyone who was familiar with Tatu on the Lisburn Road will know that this place has replaced it recently. It’s very different, all wrought iron work and comfortable sofas, mirrored panels and low lighting. The staff are very tidy looking and smart and came over several times to check if we wanted to order drinks. The music is chilled and loud enough for an atmosphere. A pint and a glass of Pinot Grigio cost us £7.05. The crowd seemed a bit older, like in thier 40s and 50s, but there were a few people our age around too so it was very mixed. I also had a Cosmopolitan, the NICEST cosmopolitan I’ve ever had, really fresh and tasty and it didn’t make me scrunch my face up in distaste at the overwhelming taste of vodka. They also offer a main course and a glass of wine for £8.95 which I might go back to try as it did have a lovely atmosphere.
