I walk past Pronto almost every morning and often pop in for a latte — even if I already had one at home simply because it is the best latte in Belfast! At least the best I am aware of :) The girls are very friendly and«pronto», I’m in an out in less than five minutes even when it’s busy. Their mango blush is also delicious and there’s a wide selection of tasty-looking cupcakes — too bad it’s too early for that at 8am! I’d love to try their premium sandwiches too — I’m sure that would earn them a well-deserved 5th star!

Pronto is probably the perfect name for this Deli as it offers a quick snacks and drinks for City Centre and Dublin Road workers. I was in a hurry this morning so popped in for a takeaway coffee. The service reflected the name — I think I was in and out within a minute. I walked out with a piping hot Americano for the meager fee of £2. The coffee was so good it shocked me — I expected it to be watery and bland but it was anything but — I plan to pop in again to ask them what bean they use because this was as good as I’ve tasted in Belfast. I know that’s a big claim but I really was in awe. Pronto have a nice wee seated area out the front and a few big stools in the shop so you can sit in and eat your breakfast, brunch or lunch if you like. When I pooped in they were busy preparing their lunchtime and sandwiches and boy did they look good — I’ve heard that Pronto gets busy at lunchtime so expect to queue.

The main advantage of this little sandwich and coffee shop is the general ease of access… Picture the scene. You’re walking back from a friends house at 8am, you haven’t been to bed but you need something to soak up the dark boozy liquid that’s rumbling in your belly… I called in here for that very fix, a huge espresso backed up with a suitably starchy little blueberry muffin. It was cheap too, under £2.50 for both of them which in my slightly confused inebriated state made perfect sense. The one thing I would say is that it’s often busy very early in the morning and around 12 — 1 at lunch time. This is a popular haunt for the many businesses in the surrounding area.

You’ll find Pronto nestled in the heart of the Dublin Road, a mere 5 minute walk from Belfast City Hall. Interior wise its rather honest and what the premises lacks in size it makes up for in the superb flavor each meal it produces. I would describe it as an upmarket sandwich bar and delicatessen, yet despite their high uality food they remain serving it at reasonable prices catering for all weather its a student from ueens or a business firm. Every morning i return religiously for their morning offer which consists of a coffee and freshly made scone, being a coffee snob i would be rather judgemental about such things. but i can only rave about theirs!(rich and earthy, the way a prefer mine). Scone wise i would suggest their apple and cinamen… simply to die for. Lunch time is where the excell, using the finest produce and high class ingrediants to make a mix of sandwiches, salads and hot food in pronto time. living up to their name! All in all i would heartadly recommend the place if your looking for gourmet food and fast service in an easy laid back environment.

Pronto is quite a small little store on the Dublin Road, just managing to fit in a deli counter and coffee machine. However, being on one of the busiest roads in Belfast for the morning commute, this little sandwich bar was always destined to get itself some good trade. And they deserve it too. The coffee is of a good quality, with a lovely fresh espresso, and their sandwiches are nice too, if maybe a little limited in terms of ingredients. I liked to head in here some mornings for a coffee and a sandwich if I was too lazy to make a packed lunch for work. Overall I would say that Pronto is a worthwhile place to stop in if you are in a rush, but don’t be expecting somewhere to sit and relax.

The first time I noticed Pronto, it had a little page taped to the window displaying a message saying that they were closed because of the owners wasn’t pulling their wait. This expression of sheer disdain for their fellow owners made me love this place. It’s quite small on the inside and seating is only on the outside, which is only useless on a good day, but they do make a very good sandwich. This bright interior always leaves me in a good mood and their summer soups are an awesome light snack!

Super handy, super cheap and super quick… almost pronto really. These are the three things which really work for this sandwich bar. It’s the kinda place you nip into on your way off elsewhere, and it’s designed purely for that purpose. There’s a door at one end, a counter in the middle, and a door at the other end. This streamlined queueing works for me! Furthermore, everything is ready to go. The day I popped in(it was fairly late on, 3pm or so), they had a couple of paninis wrapped up for sale as baguettes, but when I selected one, they gave it to me panini style no problem. The prices are really superb. Paninis are no more than £3.85, toasties start at £2.95, and sandwiches are around the £2.75-£3.00 mark. Coffee, tea and the like are averagely priced. Which is perfectly fair enough, given that Pronto is slap bang in the middle of the city centre. The one thing that doesn’t quite work, as Brian mentioned in the previous review, is that there isn’t anywhere to sit and eat, apart from a couple of tables outside. I was highly fortunate on the day I visited that it was unusually sunny and dry, and therefore availed of the outdoor seating. However, sitting down and eating isn’t really what Pronto is all about. It’s really a takeaway /eat on the go sandwich place. And for that, it makes no apologies.

Pronto is a new little sandwich shop located in between Auntie Annies and the Dublin Road Movie House Cinema. It is so small infact most people walk past it without ever paying any attention to it, which is a shame because it is terrific. They call it a «gourmet hand cut sandwich» which to me is a bit too much marketing fluff but I get what they mean. It is a fancy shop that makes fancy sandwiches. And it is. So hooray! They have a couple of meal deals, like a panini and a coffee or a pie for a fiver, all of which I have just learned this second can be ordered online in the morning so when it comes to lunchtime, your food is ready for you. How cool is that?! They have any range of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, breakfasts, drinks, all of which is designed exactly to suit people on their lunch breaks. However, I don’t really see where this shop gets its business from after 2 o’clock because it is dead set on serving lunches that come after lunch, the shop must be very quiet. It’s a cracking little shop, but that in itself is the reason why it gets 4 stars and not 5. The shop is tiny, roughly the size of my pocket(not to scale) and therefore if it is raining and you get a sandwich and there is no seats, you have to eat it in the rain… and who likes soggy sandwiches?! It certainly beats large chains of sandwich shops and if it weren’t so far away from my house, I would have gone there more often. But if you’re passing, call in for a panini!
