Upmarket local souvenirs are for sale in this tastefully presented brand new tourist information centre which is part of the Spectrum Centre on the Shankill Road. Much of the material on sale relates to the Orange Order including hand embroidered collarettes and sashes, linen napkins and tablecloths.
There is also silverware and, books and other items relating to the history of the Shankill as well as items of jewellery, ceramics and glassware produced by artists at work in the locality along with watercolours of nearby views and buildings.
Comfortable sofas are there to sit on, computers to look up and pleasant, friendly staff to help you. The centre has been funded by the Greater Shankill Partnership and the Tourist Board and was recently opened officially by Tourism Minister MLA Arlene Foster.
