Ten Square

Really disappointed in Ten Square on this occasion. I’ve eaten here before and had beautiful meals including my friends wedding, however the Christmas party night I attended last week was a big let down. £55 for 4 course meal, champagne reception & entertainment. Due to chaos traffic I was too late arriving for the champagne reception. 1^st course was a tasty vegetable soup, after this it started to go downhill. We preordered starters & mains. I went for duck liver parfait which was fairly bland only saved by the accompanying cumberland sauce. For mains I went for the 10oz sirloin which according to the menu would be served medium, it was overcooked and tough as old boots, those having the traditional turkey & ham said it was too dry even with lashings of gravy with way too much mushy stuffing. Everyone got a trio of desserts; Chocolate Torte, Christmas Pudding Cheesecake, Winter Berry Mousse; they were ok, could have done with a bit of fresh cream or icecream on the side. Entertainment was a DJ that was overheard at the bar saying how hungover he was, he was rude when asked to play any requests. Overall a big letdown

fantastic food and the waiter counldnt do enough for you. there is a lovely atmospere and good décor. only downfall is there pavalova is very chewy.
