We stopped in Sunday night because their sign boasted«All your favorite sporting events broadcast here.» They had 15 – 20 televisions all tuned to the Real Madrid/Betis match and only about six patrons. No worries — we asked to change one TV in the corner to American football. «No» was the answer. How about changing one to a different match with a team I support? Again — «no.» We each had one beer and left. Didn’t stay for the food or anything else. Other pubs in the neighborhood are much more welcoming.

The Bar With No Name is a place I never actually plan to go to, but occasionally find myself stopping at for a drink whilst on the way to somewhere else. It’s a super laid-back spot with friendly staff, a casual atmosphere and serves a decent selection of wines, beers and spirits. The building’s a bit dark inside and I hate the bright garish yellow of the outside walls, yet in spite of this I like this easy-going pub. The outside seating has warming heaters and sometimes a guitarist can be found there singing and entertaining the crowds. Quite a good place to stop at for a quick drink.

Previously Auntie Annies, that’s how I’ll always remember it, and the new name is terrible. This a sister bar of Filthy McNasty’s across the road, and they have tried to decorate it in a similar gaudy fashion to try and tie them both together. The people that frequent Auntie Annies would not be the same crowd as Filthies, which in my option is a good thing, a lot more casual affair and not a frozen girl wearing only a bandage dress in sight. That being said they could do more with it, it doesn’t smell great! Even with the recent facelift with yellow painted frontage and the multi-coloured interior, the place still looks dark and dishevelled, with the same well worn furniture. We stopped off here for a quick pint before going for dinner on a Tuesday night, and it had about 7 people in it watching the football. I used to call in here regularly before going to the cinema nearby or just for a couple of pints watching the football and the place would be hiving. Maybe it was just an off day before payday. It’s a pity the drink is still cheap enough, and the bar men are quick to serve(even though he wasn’t run off his feet), and pointed out a couple of beer deals they had. I’ll more than likely be back, because, well it’s Auntie Annies and it’s just one of those places you’ll end up in on a random night.

Tried here tonight for the first time and really enjoyed it. Such a casual and relaxed atmosphere which is what I like. The guy at the bar was really friendly and helpful, even saying to bring my strawberry daiquiri back if it wasn’t nice(though it was lovely!). A nice place to chill out over a drink, either in the cosy seats indoors or in the outdoor seating area in nice weather. I see they do pizzas too, will have to try sometime. Recommended!

Hate the name, hate the colour scheme, but luckily this bar still retains the good features of Auntie Annie’s. Quite small, but there’s a good atmosphere and great drink choices if you manage to get a seat!
