Being a bloke I have to admit that I can think of better things to do than spending my afternoon searching town for a wedding ring. My brother’s advice to try Thomas’s on Howard Street was the best a man can get as it’s an amazing little shop. They have to buzz the door to let you in and lock it once you’re in, but don’t let this put you off as the staff is so friendly and give you all the time and space to browse the collection. The shop is really tiny, but the layout works well as the cabinets display the jewelry perfectly. The collection includes Pianegonda, Thomas Sabo and Niessing Tension rings, but they also have their own designer creating bespoke and unique designs. When my wife(fiancée at the time) found the ring of her dreams that maybe was a bit on the high end of our budget, the sales person helped out by suggesting to ask the designer to recreate the design at a much lower cost. We were both very surprised as we didn’t realise this was an option, but we so appreciated the fact that the sales person didn’t try to force us to buy something above our budget. For anyone looking for a trendy or unique piece of jewelry and outstanding personal service, Thomas The Goldsmith is a genuine gem.
