TK Maxx

I have reviewed one other TK Maxx but that store is really nothing compared to this SUPER-​store. This TK Maxx is not only huge but jam-​packed with bargains for every type of bargain hunter.
In particular, their home and soft furnishings department is brilliant for new students trying to make their student crib a little more homely or even for key pieces to refresh a tired living or bed room.
Like all TK Maxx stores, the half hazard layout can stress customers out with no-​one really sure where they’re going or what exactly they’re searching for. However, that’s what the staff are there for, and are usually on hand to help with general enquiries about stock or the store.
This store is very well kept with clean surfaces, floors and till points. Just a general word of warning, make sure you try garments on or at least check the returns policy as I have been out of pocket recently through a ‘school-​girl’ error of being outside the return/​exchange date. So, frustrating!

The thing about Tk Maxx is that it’s for the hardened shopper. If your out for a leisurely day of shopping then this place isn’t for you. There are some good bargains in here for name brand clothing, but you have to rummage for it. There won’t be a sign saying «discount French Connection items here» and pointing you to a neatly arranged rack of well laid out clothes. There’ll be a series of connected rails which stretch halfway across the shop and will have, in no particular order, coats, trousers, tops, shirts… you name it. It’s a hotchpotch of clothing items that gives the impression that someone was very drunk when decided where clothes should go.
That being said, if you’re a week away from your monthly wages and need to get something for a night out, or if you’re a visitor to Belfast on a budget, or if you’re just obsessed with bargain hunting, you’re likely to find something in here that will make the journey into the store worthwhile.
It also has a homeware department upstairs.

Cannot, will not, and will never fathom the reason for this store’s existence. A clothes shop, or any shop for that matter, that has no discernible layout is like having a nice cake but forgetting to add the flour. It just does not work. The shop is a mess. Rails of «cheaper designer» stuff, rammed from one end of the shop to the other. Why?! Shopping is supposed to be pleasurable. You are supposed to walk through, browsing potential purchases and possibly even treating yourself to something nice! Here, you have to be Colombo and work out where you have to go to and how you will ever solve the mystery of the «blue shirt for the wedding at the weekend». It’s a truly dreadful shop and after giving it too many chances, I have given up entirely.

This is a great tk maxx it is over 2 floors and often has more stock than the other stores. Most of the top floor is just for childrens stuff, clothes toys etc! Your sure to find a bargin here well worth a visit!
