Yo! Sushi

I was first introduced to Yo about ten years ago on my first visit to London, and it has become a firm favourite of mine, so when the franchise arrived in Belfast a year ago I was whooping for joy at the prospect of regular visits, unfortunately, I forgot how costly it was so its only the odd time I get to go for a tasty treat!
Tonight was disappointing, the food was great quality as always, but the service was poor, only one guy was on which meant he wasn’t that attentive, and he was shouting to the chefs behind the counter which was distracting when you are having a chat with your friend!
In case you live on a different planet and don’t know the yo sushi concept, it is a mixture of hot Japanese food and raw sushi, alto are serve on the little conveyor belt that rolls around between the seating and you just pick off what you want, the dishes are colour coded and its an specific price for each colour.
It’s a fun place to come with friends and have a casual dining experience and some alcoholic beverages if you’re making a night of it, and it’s just as good if you are stopping for a quick bite during a lunch break, as its served so promptly!
I’d usually give it a 5, but their service needs to improve!

Love sushi and love eating in here. We always go with family and treat them to the whole experience. It can be pricey especially if you are hungry but the sushi is great and the top table at the end of the bar is the best spot to people watch while you eat!

For a restaurant that is somewhat of a novelty, the food was really good. Everything is made fresh before your eyes and once you get a hang of what things are you can pick and choose them as they come by on the conveyor belt. Lots to choose from including a lot of fresh fish options. The atmosphere is great and certainly offers something different to the usual meal out. I will go back to try the many other intriguing dishes I missed the first time round. Some of the dishes can be pricey for the portion so go there with an open mind to try something new that is worth a little more money.
