When arriving, I drove past the kitchen window and the kitchen smells that filled the car were a bit of a put off(smelled quite fatty). But once inside this quaint little restaurant, I did enjoy the food, was a little on the pricey side for what you received but was lovely and quiet to enjoy your food in peace.

The Jersey Arms is part of the Best Western group and an old coaching inn on the B430 between junctions 9 and 10 on the M40 near Bicester. The 20-bedroom hotel is obviously old and stone-built. It has a nice old-fashioned bar with nice period features. The restaurant looked OK, with most mains priced from £9−15, but I didn’t eat there on this occasion. My room was on the first floor and had some quaint features including a window-seat, low doorways(mind your head!) and uneven walls and floors. The bathroom wasn’t modern: but it was large perfectly adequate and in keeping with the building. A small non-digital 14TV was supplemented by my own FreeView set-top box, so I had a better range of channels than most large hotels can manage. Just a word of caution: there is plenty of car parking but it is on the opposite side of the road which is a little bit confusing when you arrive late at night. Overall I’d definitely recommend the hotel, and next time I’ll try the restaurant.
