booked a table at 7pm sat down at 7,.30PM Starters served promptly and were very good. We then waited one hour and twenty minutes for our main course which was average at best. Too much lemon and salt. Not nice. I heve been a curry fan since 1976 and this is one of the bottom ten experiences since then. We will not be going back.

The food here is absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the parking isn’t great on certain days of the week, due to it all being on the street and a residential area.

I started going to this restaurant over 15 years ago the food then was simply amazing and although I’ve since lost my hair and gained another belly I can say the quality has never faulted. the staff are attentive and friendly and the fact you can take your own beer was a big plus, the prices are very reasonable and the set menus are a must. unless you have a family member that lives in the street the parking can be quite bad but hey you can’t have everything. great place

!!!I LOVETHISRESTAURANT!!! Its *Mega* cheap as you can take your own beer in, and with the«corner shop» open till 11 at the top of the road, you can get 24 pint cans(500ml) for £10. The food is around £7, for rice/chips and a curry, which is really delicious, ideal for group nights as you can make as much noise as you want :) waiters are helpfull, however you can get tossers in there!!!

Birkenhead really is a quiet but swirling hotbed for eateries such as this. Balti in the native language means bucket, so the place is called Ruhi bucket, Ruhi presumably being a name. The restaurant does serve good food, but despite the fact that the menu is fairly broad it lacks imagination with your bog standard ‘English Indian’ dishes(yawn) The service is very good with helpful staff happy to make recommendations. The option of being able to bring your own booze is a double edged sword, while it is great it can attract a certain crowd which you might not be keen on sharing your dining experience with. God bless bog standard curry houses eh? You know what you’re getting and while it might not be gourmet, it will definitely be appetizing enough.

Ruhi Balti was a great night out if you’re in the area. With incredibly friendly staff and a relaxed policy about bringing in your own drinks, this authentic restaurant is a decent place for couples and groups alike. Although some of the food order came out a bit sporadically, the waitor was apologetic. The food itself was tasty and portions were decent, per head on average was around £12, good value for a tasty meal. The Ruhi Balti restaurant is therefore a recommendable experience and i would visit again.

This is my favourite restaurant — you can take your own alcohol and they’ll even refrigerate it for you — you can sit there for hours without being pestered to order or without being kicked out.

Me and my boyfriend are regulars in this divine Indian restaurant. The menu is very well laid out, considering the vast amount of dishes they have on offer. The service is the best we have experienced anywhere to date! Attentive, but not overpowering the staff get it spot on. The restaurant also offers a take-out service and a waiting area is provided for this. As the Ruhi has recently undergone a refurbishment, it is up to date and modern, whilst still retaining classic Indian style. It is fully licensed so you are free to bring your own drinks, although the menu includes a range of alcoholic drinks. Prices are very reasonable and its a great place to go for couples, families and groups. There really is something for everyone. Parking can be tricky as it is situated in a series of one-way streets. You will be lucky to get a space in the street parking outside the restaurant. Expect a walk from one of the connecting streets.

Newly refurbished, lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome everytime! My boyfriend and I like to go because you can take your own drinks! The menu is really easy to get your head around with a wide selection of Indian food, and also English food too. It is open late so its good if you’re going elsewhere afterwards. The staff are very attentive and are always happy to help. The prices are so cheap you wouldn’t believe! We often find we are eating out for under £20 for both of us. Great location easy to get to and parking right outside the door.

A gogeous indian restaurant. Contemporary décor, and friendly waiting on staff. We have been coming here for the past 15 years and since then it has expanded into the shop next door and had a big refit. The prices are average, and the quality of the food is second to none. The sizzler special is a must! Only downside is the parking.
