Worst hairs dresser ever. I went there a couple of time as a friend told me that the place was pretty trendy and one of the best in town. Had very bad experience. They treat me in a very rude way, as my english wasn’t good enough at my first appointment. The colour ruined my hairs and wasn’t what I asked as they said was impossible have highlights on my short hairs.(always had it on even shorter hairs) Last time I went there, they’ve been so rude that I just walked away. I was bit late and they treated me very disrespectfully, all of them, from reception to stylist, as they were doing me a favour and not a payed service. I was very polite and walked away, To the next saloon where they did this«impossible» highlights. Had the impression they feel to over the top as they are kinda famous, but they are incapable to do their job and they have zero costumers service skills. Such a shame.

I haven’t paid to be cut for ages but unfortunately my last trip to Bad Apple didnt inspire me to come back. I explained i never straighten my hair or even dry it, but was asked if i owned a diffuser. i sometimes wonder if hairdressers are on commission to straighten hair. they might not understand why people don’t but it’s not professional to show this. during my appointment Hannah went to see three other customers(so the appointments could have been better organised). i asked 3 times my hair to be less weighty on one side. the cut is okay, still a bit heavy at the back. but i want excellent service and excellent cut. it felt rushed and not enough time on it. i won’t be back.

I have been going to bad apple for 6 years now. I have always been happy with the service and my hair. But my most recent visit was an absolute joke. I went for a very simple straight Bob(simple trim) with a stylist. She called me over 15 minutes after my appointment time. I was okay with that. The girl who washed my hair was so grumpy, I was still okay with that. Once I had my hair washed I sat on the chair, waiting for my hairdresser for another 20 minutes while she finished her last job right next to me. She was not apologetic at all. It felt as if she then rushed my cut. She then kept on being called over to speak to her next clients. I’m assuming they must have overbooked. So I don’t know if it was her fault but either way I was not impressed. And when I went over to pay she just rushed off, did not even say bye or appologise(for the awful service). The hair cut itself was fine. But I probably would have received a much better service at a barber shop. I want to stress that this is solely based on my most recent visit. Saddens me to say I will have to look for a new salon.

Well I’ve been coming to Bad Apple for the last 6 years so that tells you something. I was once asked to come in for a haircut to help out with staff training, and since that moment I have been made to feel welcome and now I feel that any member of the Bad Apple can cut my hair to my expectation, know what I want and how I want to feel leaving the salon. It just goes to show that the amount of awards the team and the salon have won, that they are a cut above(get it?) any other salon in Birmingham.

I’ve been going here for haircuts for a while now, and it would take something special to draw me elsewhere. The hairdressers here have great ideas and if you want a new and cutting edge restyle this is the place to be. What I like about this place is although the stylists have great ideas of their own, they prioritise your ideas– something of which I’ve struggled with at previous salons. If you know what they want they will do it for you, probably better than you imagined in the first place. Their basic hair cut with any level of stylist(I’ve experienced stylist, senior stylist and art team haircuts) includes a wash and blowdry, along with a pleasant head massage if the girls washing your hair are in a good mood! I got my hair cut into an asymmetric style here, which the art team did well. I’ve had follow up appointments with senior stylists most of the time, and to be honest I couldn’t tell much difference in the skill between art team and senior stylist– they were both very good. Stylists have less experience but nobody here at any level will give you a bad haircut, they’re all way better than average salon workers, even at more senior levels. Prices here aren’t cheap, but it doesn’t feel like a rip off and you don’t want to cheap out on something like a haircut, where you do get what you pay for. A few of my friends go here for cuts, and I’ve never heard of a bad thing said about this place. The salon itself is clean and very stylish, which brings in clientele of all ages from fashion-conscious business people to alternative students. I’d loosely describe this place as the Tony & Guy for Alternative Culture.

I first heard of this place when a friend started working here. Being in right in the heart of the city centre, you expect the usual stylish surroundings that you are greeted with. Tiled floors, big mirrors, swivel chairs, cool décor on the walls, this salon has a really classy, stylish feel to it which I love. Everyone in there appears to be young, funky and there are a few cool tattoos on some of the stylists which I also liked. Pretty modern team who are bang on trend so perfect if you’re in need of a restyle. Style wise, I had a few inches chopped and asked for a big and bouncy blow dry which they executed brilliantly. As I told them I was going out later, they pinned some of the curls up for for me and finished with hairspray. Great service, pleasant salon, perfect location.
