Stayed here for my 25th birthday weekend and enjoyed every moment of it. the staff were so friendly and my baby had a fabulous weekend planed for us got to say i got pampered and didn’t wanted to leave the room was so nice, decorations were lovely and the bed so nice and soft. felt like a princess in there. Rate it a 5***** hotel where you get treated like your in paradise without the sun and crystal sand and blue sea haha

I stay here almost every week so I guess I must like it Location first — it is perfect, situated at one end of Broad Street, just minutes from the ICC(in fact they’re directly connected by a bridge), Symphony Hall, the National Indoor Arena, and loads of good restaurants, and about 15 minutes walk to the Bullring and New Street station. First impressions matter, and this hotel does them well. I love the large atrium as you enter, subtle jazz music playing in the background, plants and water-features adding a natural feel. This certainly makes a tranquil setting for a relaxing buffet breakfast — and these are impressive, with a huge range of fruit(the cinnamon-soaked pears are the best!), cold meats and cheeses, cereals, freshly-baked breads, award-winning sausages and everything else you’d expect. Impressive yes, but not cheap at nearly £15 for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with inspiring views through large floor-to-ceiling windows, although they’re a bit dimly-lit. But a big desk and wireless in every room makes it a most pleasant place to catch up on writing Qype reviews! (tip for long stays: you can buy a 24-hour Internet voucher for £15 but this doesn’t need to be used continuously so it could last you a couple weeks) There’s a decent gym on the bottom floor, with the highlight being a superb 20m swimming pool. And there’s a swanky-looking bar on the ground floor where my colleagues and I occasionally enjoy a few(or a few too many) after-dinner drinks. Staff are friendly — not always incredibly efficient but they do treat you very well. I once arrived to a queue of about 20 people checking in and they were giving out free champagne for our inconvenience. It’s these little touches that set them apart and make you feel really welcome! Absolutely ideal for business stays, luxurious weekends, or if you enjoy spotting conference attendees or occasional celebrity guests!

Ideally situated for the arena and right next to the ‘eye’ ferris wheel. The hotel is very modern and the rooms spacious and comfortable. the rooms have large tinted windows overlooking the city and it feels quite nice that no one can see in when the curtains are open(can they?) was reasonable price however the bar was a bit pricey and a bit dark. In general a good stay and very central.

Not somewhere you might think of visiting perhaps, being essentially a hotel bar, but Bar Pravda has an ‘exclusive’ feel that makes it well worth a visit. There is an excellent choice of wine, champagne and cocktails, with non-alcoholic cocktails too. Waiter service and bowls of nibbles are a nice touch, although you might expect them given that drinks are a bit on the pricey side. The décor is sleek, contemporary and upmarket — the clientele cool and sophisticated, you won’t find your hen and stag parties here. Bar Pravda is an ideal place to meet for a drink before heading into town — ideally located near Broad Street — or perhaps to the theatre.
