Even if you’ve not tried Caribbean food, you will have a good time here.
Nestled behind Jewellery Quarter’s Warstone Lane, I’m resisting using the words ‘hidden gem,’ but this is. Just go through the alleyway next to Paul Green’s jewellers and you’ll find the warmest of sunny welcomes.
I’ve never been particularly fond of the Caribbean food but there is more here apart from Jerk Chicken. In fact I’m especially not a chicken fan, especially when it’s on the bone but that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it. Anyway there is Curried Goat, Oxtail, Pork with Ginger as well as the vegetarian options, from which I ended up with, Red Stew peas. I washed it down with ginger beer which for some reason completely went with the occasion, despite my not having had it for years.
