Much better as a child but still quite expensive for what you get. It’s mostly a fun way to learn about the factory, not a tour of it. I almost certainly wouldn’t recommend it for adults but it can be worth taking the kids if you can get cheaper tickets.

Cadbury world is ok. It’s a good place for chocolate lovers but it’s a shame that it is so expensive and there is always a massive queue. You can get pre-booked tickets to get you in a bit quicker but you have to pay extra for that. You get a few freebies. I especially liked the bit where you get the fresh melty chocolate and can choose what sweets to put in it(I had marshmallows). They tell you all about the history and everything and there is the museum bit about how the Cadbury family built Bournville but I would have preferred it if there was a bit more to do. There is quite a bit gift shop and, while some things are very expensive, you can get some good deals on boxes of sweets. There is also a café which is very clean but, again, quite expensive. To be honest, if they either put the prices down or offered more for the money, I would be more inclined to recommend it. And if you are only going for the free chocolate, you might as well go to the corner shop and buy a couple of chocolate bars!

We visited this attraction on Good Friday 2010, so as you can appreciate it was quite busy and damp weather. Unfortunately we were unable to book online as we had some discount vouchers and therefore has 2 hours to kill before we could enter the exhibition as «Pre-Pay» tickets obviously take priority. As far as the tour goes its not fantastic by a long shot, but informative it certainly is. Remember this is not Willy Wonkers chocolate factory! During the visit each member of the party had the following free chocolate: Warm Liquid Dairy Milk Chocolate In Pot Covering A Topping Of Our Choice. A Curly Wurly A Bag of Chocolate Buttons A Dairy Milk Bar and a Crème Egg Which I am sure you will agree is enough chocolate for anyone in one day, especially with Easter Eggs in two days time! So when people say you don’t get enough chocolate I don’t know what they expect in honesty. It is a good, informative day out for everyone, I would suggest searching for online discount vouchers as with any attraction these days, try and get there early of course. The chocolate in the Gift Shop it very cheap in comparison to the shops, around 60%(40% off) of I will add, so be sure to stock up if there is an important occasion coming up. Remember it’s Chocolate! Everyone loves Chocolate!
