Up in Birmingham on business and was meeting for breakfast before we when a meeting. We had not arrange to have breakfast here, we just walking off the street. The staff we’re very welcoming and should us to the restaurant. The breakfast was around £12 and was a self service, eat all you want. I was very good and the egg’s even had a runny yoke If the rest of the hotel is as good as the breakfast you are in for a treat.

Enjoyable Italian food if occasionally a bit different. The pizza is amazing although asking for the cheese starter will mean receive large blocks of pecorino cheese. service also good but softdrinks come in small glasses, so worth having wine.

It was a nice evening. The service is self confident in recommending very very nice things. It is a cozy athmosphere in here and the prices are not so high. The service is brilliant and funny. That’s what I like. Upselling is here a must and I will make sure to come here a second time. Unfortunately I am in Berlin.(:

I love this restaurant! The atmosphere in here was relaxed but classy, and the waiting staff were very knowledgable about the menu. The food was beautiful, and definately worth paying a little bit more for. The bar downstairs is just as beautiful, and serves good cocktails and very good wine — but sometimes the staff on the bar can be a little lacking in knowledge about the drinks they are serving — I once left because the bar man was taking so long to make a cocktail(he had to keep checking the ingredients from behind the bar) that I was going to be late for a table I’d booked elsewhere. But that’s just the bar — the restaurant was nothing less than perfect. I can definately recommend it for a special night out with a loved one.

Fillini is one of my favourite restaurants in Birmingham. It is part of the relatively new Radisson Hotel and yes they missed a trick by not placing it at the top of the hotel so that you could get city views but it’s still a great place. It has a great atmosphere, dimmed lighting and an international feel, perhaps because it is part of a hotel. The menu is actually Sicilian influenced and they change it a couple of times a year. I have always found the service to be excellent. The menu is varied and does include pizza. They have the most interesting bread basket that I’ve tasted in Birmingham, with a variety of unusual breads — worth going for! I would heartily recommend their tomato bruschetta and have often had great fish dishes there. Fresh and full of flavour. The star dish for me is their tiramisu. I’m not usually a pudding fan but I would forego a starter to have a pudding here as the tiramisu is really good!
