There’s a lovely monthly craft fair in the Great Western arcade, the wonderful building that was once voted the best building in Birmingham.
Amongst the talented local handmade traders, it’s good to see ‘Handmade by Sara-​Jane.’ I go to a lot of these fair as I love handmade and unique items and Sara-Jane’s niche is that she designs jewellery made with semi-​precious stones. The necklaces made with cracked quartz are stunning and start from just £15; I think that’s fantastic for a handmade item made right here in the area.
Also, Sara-​Jane has some beautiful jewellery made with carnelian nuggets which I have never come across before. They are amber-​esque in colour but still only £15.50 for a bracelet.
Very much recommended, especially as a wonderful, locally made gift.
