Lahore Karahi

Amazing. I go here any time I feel peckish. The quantity of food given is insane! they should be charging at least double what they do. The quality of the grilled meat is spectacular. Nice and charred but not burnt to a crisp, A hard feat to achieve!

I don’t eat halal food but this has never stopped me from dining at halal restaurants with friends who do. Generally, most of these restaurants have catered well for vegetarians so I’ve just opted for that. However, Lahore Karahi disappointed me.
It’s more of a fast-​food diner than restaurant. And that isn’t just a reflection of their tacky décor but also the greasy fast food that is ready in minutes. And their menu has little to offer vegetarians other than chips, which are actually thin, greasy fries. Don’t expect comfortable seating. The chairs are plastic and tables have seen better days.
Although the restaurant seems to be doing well considering its open all hours (or at least whenever I’ve passed!) and it’s usually bustling with diners. However this could be because they’re open till late and offer cheap, fast food.
I went once but won’t be going again.

For great value and fantastic quality Pakistani cuisine, it doesn’t get much better than this. Located on the border of Moseley and Balsall Heath, Lahore is a spacious, modestly decorated restaurant and takeaway offering a wide range of both meat and vegetarian dishes of varying hotness.
The absolute best thing about Lahore is that it offers an ‘all you can eat’ deal for a little over £7 that incorporates all the main dishes plus sundries and naan bread. Drinks are extra, and I can personally recommend the mango lassi as a perfect palate-​cooler after you’ve enjoyed some of the spicy treats on offer.
Strongly recommended, it’s definitely worth the trip. The only downside is that it can be a little tricky to find somewhere to park. If you can walk it, do so.

the venue is a dive with the picnic table seating followed by bad décor but don’t let this fool you, the food is very good and fresh. they are open till very late (I’ve never seen them closed) the kebabs, masala fish and steak are not to be missed. serves halal food only.

Delicious food, home-​made style. EXTREMELY good value for money with main meals you’ll struggle to finish only costing £4! I went with a large group of about 20 and it was great, the staff were good and the atmosphere was nice too. I would definetly go again.
